Mecomed Code of Business Practice
The Mecomed Code of Ethical Business Practice regulates aspects of the medical devices industry’s relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Healthcare Organizations (HCOs). Since January 1st 2018, and the phasing out of the direct sponsorships and independent medical education has to be supported exclusively by means of Educational Grants. Such Educational Grants can be provided to Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) or Professional Congress Organizers (PCOs) including Medical Associations.
Educational Grants
Mecomed member companies can provide educational grants to professional conference organisers to support a third party educational conference that has been positively assessed by the Conference Vetting System (CVS).
