What is this competition?
The scientific poster competition is dedicated to help grow the medical laboratory industry and give our talented colleagues a platform to gain recognition, get published and win a host of prizes!
- Out of all the entries, the top 6 posters will be selected
- The 6 finalists will present to a judging committee online on 17th January 2023
- The winner will be announced online on 17 January and the winner will earn a speaking slot at Medlab Asia 2023 (Bangkok - *flight and/or accommodation included)
- The finalists’ posters will be displayed at the live show for delegates, visitors, and participants to view
How can I participate?
To participate in the competition, you can simply submit an abstract of your work as per the below guidelines to [email protected] before 10 January 2023 and our team will get back to you if your abstract is selected.
How the competition works?
Participants can choose a topic aligned to one of the medical laboratory industry's niche areas and submit an abstract including an introduction, objectives, and conclusion.
- Max 300 words, font size 11, Arial (font type).
- You may include 1 figure or table only.
- Be as specific as possible about the material you will cover on your poster.
- Descriptions that are too short or vague will be considered incomplete.

Competition details
Phase 1 - Submitting the abstract
Out of all abstract entries, the top 6 will be selected and asked to submit a designed poster
Phase 2 - Presentation at Medlab Middle East 2023
The selected 6 posters will
be displayed onsite. The shortlisted participants will have to present their
abstracts in front of the judges online on the 17 January 2023.
Winner will be announced on that day.
Phase 3 - Trip to Bangkok and speaking opportunity
Following the presentations, the judging committee will recognise the winning presenter who will receive flight and/or
accommodation to Bangkok and the opportunity to speak at Medlab Asia 2023
What are the deadlines?

Announcement of Top 6 finalists: 13 January 2023
Online presentation: 17 January 2023
