Tell us about your expertise in the laboratory sector with a brief about your organisation, its initiatives, and the journey to date.

Sysmex Middle East is a subsidiary of Sysmex Europe SE, one of Europe’s top laboratory diagnostics and healthcare companies. As a part of the Sysmex Corporation, a global leader in haematology diagnostics and service, we produce reliable, high-quality laboratory products and complement them through excellent service solutions. We create added value through a personalized, tailored approach to our customer’s needs, providing anything from standalone diagnostic solutions to fully integrated managed service agreements.

In your opinion, what areas in the laboratory sector are expected to evolve and what role is your organisation expected to play?

Evolving healthcare needs and diagnostic technologies will lead to a closer involvement of laboratory diagnostics in all pathways of patient care, from prevention and early diagnosis of diseases to continuous monitoring. Reflecting this holistic development and our commitment to improving care throughout all stages of a patient’s life, Sysmex has shifted its emphasis from “Lighting the way with diagnostics” to "Together for a better healthcare journey." Accordingly, we have developed new technologies like BloodScience Workcell, an interdisciplinary solution that smartly combines haematology and haemostasis testing and supports physicians in obtaining a more holistic picture of their patients.

Give us an insight into your portfolio and solutions targeted at the Middle East region.

Our product portfolio is expanding across the entire pathway of care and includes solutions in haematology, haemostasis and their combined application in our BloodScience Workcell products. Additionally, we offer solutions in clinical flow cytometry, urinalysis, life sciences and point of care diagnostics.

What can visitors expect to see at your booth in Medlab Middle East 2024? What opportunities are you looking forward to?

At Medlab Middle East 2024, we will focus on the recent product launch of our new flagship haematology analyser line and workflow solution, the XR-Series, and our BloodScience Workcell products, which harness the combined excellence of our haematology and haemostasis portfolios. We will also introduce the UF-1500, a particle counter model from the UF-Series that uses fluorescence flow cytometry technology to analyse 130,000 particles from each sample. It also analyses body fluids samples along with the UD-10 digital imaging device, which can provide up to 40 or 80 images per field to help classify crystals and casts. Visitors can also look forward to learning more about our clinical flow cytometry and point of care solutions.
